New Recordings Coming

We’re excited to officially share that Blues in a Blender is heading into a new creative chapter.

Over the coming months, we’ll be recording some of our original material—songs that have lived on stage for a while and are finally getting the treatment they deserve. One of the first up is “Hard Times,” a track that’s evolved with us through live shows and lineup changes, and now feels ready to be captured properly in the studio.

Alongside the originals, we’re also working on recording high-end performance videos with equally high-end audio. These will include:

• New covers we’ve been adding to the set

• Covers we’ve played before but are now rearranging and reimagining

• Performances that better reflect how the band actually sounds right now

This project is as much about experimentation as it is about quality. We’ll be recording in a mix of home studios—run by band members—as well as collaborating with a few studios we’re currently talking to around the Maryland area. That flexibility gives us room to explore different sounds, textures, and approaches without rushing the process.

Most importantly, this is meant to be fun. It’s about capturing performances that feel honest, raw, and current, while also stepping up the production value so listeners and viewers can experience the music the way we hear it.
